A string of Ukrainian politicians and public figures condemned the idea of handing over unoccupied land to Russia for peace on Sunday, arguing that their country had not been defeated and should not be forced into a surrender.

I can very very much understand this sentiment in Ukraine. I mean how can they trust Trump after all that's happened?

If you want to get someone really pissed off at you, then what Trump has done (and specially what he hasn't) is exactly what you need to trigger 100% negative sentiment and justifiable suspicion with your (tradional) allies.

add: I feel vicarious shame and I'm not an US citizen, by Trump's grovelling to murderers and dictators, his overall lacking behavior, and unjust betrayal of Ukraines sovereignty in the name of his fake ambition for a fucking ficticious nobelprize.

No one can trust Trump under any circumstances. He'll lie, cheat, steal, backstab. He's only out for one person: himself. He's proven it over and over again for decades.

I'd say there is an incredibly high chance Trump is predominantly doing this to try and keep his pedophilia out of the news

his pedophilia out of the news

wouldn't that make it even more inexcusable wrong?

Nobody here is out to excuse the man, it's just a compelling hypothesis

Ukraine is on their way to defeating Putin. Putler could have never invaded Ukraine in the first place. Putler could have always gone home years ago to end the invasion. Now, it's too late. Ukraine will crush Russia. Slava Ukraine.

I mean, if tomorrow putin falls out of a window (on accident, of course), after which all russian soldiers pack it up and go home, I don't think we're going to chase them. We have too much to rebuild.

Don't you see! This was a 20D move by Biblically Accurate Chosen One Trump to reinvigorate flagging Ukrainian morale and restore NATO unity!

....Pfft, I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

When Trump is noted to be actively searching for big betrayals every time he gets in hot water like he is with Epstein, then loyalty to the US is a nonstarter. It's bad enough if he's squirrel brained, but this implies purposeful throwing a whole country to the wolves literally just for headlines.

Clinton famously attacked another country to distract from the trials with witnesses for Monica Lewinski and successfully pushed it down to page 2. This seems as bad or worse.
