I think you should seek someone with experience, a mentor. Otherwise it's the blind leading the blind.
@frongt Yeah. i like aking for advice but some of the joy is the discovery and figuring out things. its a.balance right? I get heaps of support online but working something out by talking with someone can be fun.

If you don't find someone, maybe you can find a hackerspace or the like in those locations. There might be people already doing what you are currently looking into.
If you speak Spanish, a month ago or so I was pointed at https://foro.autoalojado.es/, might be interesting to discuss the in-person stuff, although it doesn't seem like it's reaching a critical mass of activity :(
