Boycott US

Whoa, the calls for assassination… this isn’t Reddit for sure.

I guess this is an extreme view on Lemmy, but I’d want my country to host pretty much any war criminal for talks on US soil. Kim Jong Un, Netenyahu, terrorist leaders, cartels, Russias even more violent oligarchs, anyone, just like I’d want a president to risk negotiating on their soil, given the opportunity.

Peaceful negotiation without being ambushed is a human right. It’s building a dialogue for very little cost other than pride. If people want to talk, talk.

Of course don’t validate them with repeated nothingburgers, but still.

Now, how the president behaves and what they negotiate is critical here. This is not an excuse to leave licking a killer's boots.
