If I had the spare money, I'd buy all of Nova on DVD/BD/ETC. I do not want that becoming potentially lost media.

PBS helped raise me. Sesame Street is the chief architect of my moral compass.

Now I’m going to watch it die.

You do know Sesame Street is it's own thing (Sesame Workshop).

Can I download mods there?

Can anyone point me to the, err... romance mods?

Glad they spent the last few decades "being fair to both sides" just to end up like this.

Seems like a good reason to be 21% less fair to one side

They said Federal Funding made up less than 5% of their funding though? 🤔

But now they don't have a locked-in source of income anymore. In a bad fundraising year, they used to be able to lean on that cushion of guaranteed funding to help pay loans, fees, employees, etc. They no longer have that guarantee, so now they'll need to plan for bad fundraising years by reducing spending by more than what they lost. There's not some conspiracy, they're just trying to keep PBS around.

If a single dime goes to execs or ancient hosts that tow the liberal line in the face of rising fascism that're already making tons of money, then fuck 'em.

Well... What's the alternative? Losing PBS would be a huge blow.

I live in the Rio Grande Valley.

The RGV is really spread out and people commute a lot, so a lot of people get their news from the radio on the drive to work. We lost our NPR affiliate station a few years back.

And all that's left is alt-right grievance screaming. You can see the results.
