Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning are the founders.
Instead of having them as the face of American EV innovation, we have some guy who's talent is being born with money and then getting lucky in a business venture.
There's hundreds or thousands of these companies which were founded by innovative and creative people that were bought out and absorbed into some giant corporation so that it doesn't ever have to compete with anybody.
Pretty sure Elmo isn't one of the founders of Tesla. And calling him a visionary is pushing it.

Lost Stallman...
To be fair, none of this would have happened without Stallman, and I understand the criticism. But let's remember, there are things that he did that were very positive for computing. If it weren't for Stallman it is doubtful that we would have a free operating system to this day.

You all donβt know what youβre talking about. Elon absolutely is a visionary. Who else could come up with the new Tesla Roadster with rocket thruster package (source)? Now, actually brining that vision to market, yeah Elon might not be your guy. Now that I think about it, his visions are more like delusions. Maybe letβs call him a delusionary.
