As an American, this Friday meeting between Putin and Trump makes no sense to me. If Russia truly has over 1mm casualties right now, how can Putin agree to a ceasefire of any kind? Russia is getting close to 1 casualty per 100 citizens (acknowledging there are some North Koreans in the casualty total). Nothing less than total takeover of Ukraine can justify these numbers to Russia. For the land taken since 2022, even a freezing of the line right now doesn't justify the current casualties to Russia. It seems to me that the only answer left at this time is to match force with force sadly until Putin is compelled to stop.
