Zohran 'Duce' Mamdani.

I'm kind of confused by this.

If he's saying country over race, then yeah, sure I get it, but like, we know for a fact that there are biologically pure black Africans who are 100% human, no crossbreeding between Denisovians or Homo erectus or Neanderthal.

We also know that there are Native Americans and Chinese people who have been directly descended from the originals, humans, or whenever we could possibly trace their genetic lines back to for thousands of years.

So, like on the one hand, I understand we should put our society above our genetic heritage, especially in a mixed society like America.

We'll have to work together if we want to get anywhere, after all.

But if you have to deny the racial heritage of several of the groups that make up America in order to get your point across, that doesn't really seem like it's going to be a winner for me.

Like, what am I not understanding here?

Am I overthinking things? Or is there something that I've missed?

Or is there something that I’ve missed?

Yes.

The quote is actually by Mussolini.

Yeah what the fuck is that?

The idea that a "pure" human is somehow better than one that is a mixture of several races is what he is speaking against with racial politics. Your race should not matter for pretty much anything, aside from specific medical needs that may stem from genetics.

I would argue that where you come from also doesn't matter. Humans are human no matter what their lineage or place of birth is.

Ok, that makes sense.

Racial purity ethos is just racism, lol, and I say that as a card-carrying registered member of a Lakota tribe where the racial purity of every single person is tracked, seven generations back, and it's close to the point where we have to have a register to know who you can and cannot date based on how closely you are related.

Hey op, why are you posting a Mussolini quote as Mamdani?

[–] Honytawk@feddit.nl 3 points 1 week ago

There is only one race that is important. Is the human race.

Everything else are variations that have no impact what so ever.
