Some big names missing from the top 25: USC, Auburn, Florida State. Ouch! Surprised Arizona State and Illini are ranked as high as they are. I know Arizona State had a good performance vs Texas, but can't recall much or any of that game in memory. Illini had a decent season last year, a hot head coach. Let's see if they can sustain it this year.
Good guys at #24, I will be putting together my own ballot to show the pollsters what I think of their placement shortly.
I hope to have the preseason community poll up soon, I'm spending some time trying to implement some upgrades the community showed me last season.

As always, pre-season polls are deeply problematic, but with the amount of interest in CFB, if any of the more reputable ones stopped doing them, the media would simply pay that much more attention to worse polls.
