This is definitely a good grift for someone looking to enhance their Labubu collection with donations.

I feel a lot more comfortable with religious extremists giving their money to a Labubu huckster than a televangelist or a mega church.

This is a parody site, right?

washed out image of a lady in a shirt with the site address raising her hands and making a pained expression while a labubu is on fire on a small dinner plate in front of her

I probably need more coffee.

The layers are deep... It's possible that Labubus are part of a guerilla marketing campaign for Mother Shabubu, a Simpsons spin-off that follows the story of Homer's cousin Frank and their courageous struggle against Basusu, aka Pazuzu, aka Palantir

We're through the looking glass here people

Ow, my brain!

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 8 months ago

Pazuzu is literally already a Futurama character.

More coffee is always a good call

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 8 points 8 months ago

Yeah, I shouldn't even be questioning it.

You can sure donate to them! LOL, they claim $42,000 thousand in donations. When you go to the fund me site they got $25.

Someone commented elsewhere it's some crypto scam.

Christians be like "There is only one God, he is loving and he is all-powerful. Also, be afraid of this mesopotamian demon."

[–] EmptySlime@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Of course. Because if you stray from The Path™ then that all-loving God will forsake you to an eternity of suffering in the fiery pits of Hell. Don't worry about how that entirely contradicts the characterization of God as all-loving. Or how God being all-knowing means that he already not only knows beforehand that you're going to stray, but also knows exactly what he could hypothetically have put in front of you to cause you to willingly choose his path. But punishes you anyway because Free Will is important to him or something. And yet it's your fault for failing his tests of you.

Who would win: An all powerful omniscient diety or an apple that makes you feel nakey?

Don't mindlessly buy plastic trinkets of demons.

You can craft your own with some clay. You could even make a slip cast mold in blender with any customization you desire so you can make as many copies as you want. And glazing it can be fun for the whole coven.

[–] Steve@startrek.website 9 points 8 months ago

Plus that gives you a chance to properly enchant it with a demon spirit

[–] SassyRamen@lemmy.world 16 points 8 months ago

This is from conservatives, when they say satan, they mean for themselves. They want the children.

[–] kSPvhmTOlwvMd7Y7E@lemmy.world 13 points 8 months ago

now i want one! good marketing

[–] lemmyknow@lemmy.today 12 points 8 months ago

Pazuzu, you ungrateful gargoyl!

[–] ekZepp@lemmy.world 11 points 8 months ago

Damn. Now i want a little chibi Pazuzu statue too.

[–] kindenough@kbin.earth 8 points 8 months ago

Pazuzu, first heard of the demon through reading “The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec”, a comic series from Jaques Tardi. As a teenager I read all of her adventures.

Every time I see a Labubu I think they are a knock off of the monsters from Where the wild things are. They property owners would make a killing if they brought out plushies.

[–] evilcultist@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

What a coincidence. I am also raising $150k for uh, anti-devil… stuff.
