Didn't even have a midwife. These people don't even know the form of the traditional medicine they glorify.

I think the most damning thing about it all, is that the anti-medicine influencer says to call an ambulance immediately after something goes wrong - "Upon seeing the message, Lal made a Facetime call and saw the baby girl. Believing her to be dead, she told Ms. E and Mr. E to call for an ambulance."
I get that our Healthcare system is broken, but it's not the science that's wrong, it's how we implement it.
We had both of our kids at home with a midwife (and nurse). But we live in a suburb and within a few miles of two hospitals. Had anything gone wrong, it would have taken mere minutes to escalate to a higher level of care.
One of those hospitals has a dedicated birthing center that includes birthing pools, if that's what you want. We probably would have gone to that hospital if we didn't live so close. If you truly want the best for your newborn, you don't take chances.
Im not sure what to call this but this article is followed about how rural hospitals closing so people who want to give birth in a hospital can't.
