Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Or that families must be 2 parents and kids. A single person could adopt a kiddo and - BAM - that's a family.

If the concept of being on equal footing breaks up a marriage, it wasn't a healthy relationship to begin with.

This is an underrated statement. Far too many want a parent / life manager instead of a partner.

Yep!! They want a parent they can have sex with. That's not equality.

Cut out the middle man: kill your father and shag your mum 👍

Hi IndiBrony, this community has a rule that only women are permitted to comment or post, so please don't comment any more. Hope you understand 💛

Ugh, this! My dad constantly talked down to my mom and called her stupid. It definitely messed up my siblings and I idea of what it means to be a woman. I can’t believe that I thought she deserved it at times. It wasn’t until I had been out of the house for a few years that I could see clearly what was going on, and encouraged her to leave (she did, and is much happier now).

My father was remarkably progressive for the times, especially considering he was in the military.

He still treated my mother as somewhat of a second class citizen in the home (despite treating her better than 99.44% of the men around him in our neighbourhoods around the world).

Anybody who thought women had it better off in the '50s is just plain ignorant. Literally the moment women could start initiating divorces, the divorce rate shot sky-high. This isn't the fault of being able to divorce…

That's not good to be around, and not a good relationship to have modelled to you. I'm not surprised you started to think she deserved it, you were literally being taught that.

Agree with your point and glad you helped your mom fix her life ! The schoolmarm in me wants to point out it's "my siblings' and my idea"

I feel like women should stop wasting time and just grow and keep the men as pets

Marriage is just a BDSM kink for normies

[–] SanctimoniousApe@lemmings.world 5 points 19 hours ago

I think you forgot to put quotes around that last word - IMHO, there's little that should be considered "normal" when it comes to those people who are into that fetish.
