Study finds flavor bans cut youth vaping but slow decline in cigarette smoking

I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I think that's the point. If I remember correctly it was tobacco companies that were behind the scenes lobbying for the ban on flavored vapes. This is mostly hearsay that I've heard online, but my understanding was that they were doing this because they were losing sales to the companies coming up that were making vape products and were upset they were losing the monopoly.
I'm talking out of my ass right now, but I'll try and find some stuff online to see if it's true.
Edit: After about 20 minutes of looking stuff up I couldn't find anything. Maybe it was just the vape shop workers around me that were saying it, who knows. If anyone else finds anything I'd love to know.
