The shortest lifespan of a bug is held by the female American sand-burrowing mayfly (Dolania americana), which lives for less than five minutes as an adult.

So I’ll give all of them human intelligence. Yes. I’m evil.

I dunno if this is really a curse. I've played Warframe, I know not to gift any animals with human intelligence. That's how you end up giving them human depression.

Damn. Yeah, at that point, I'd put all my assets in a trust for her, hire a caretaker under the trust, and go jump of the nearest bridge of lethal height. I don't know much, but I depend on knowing our dogs love us.
