The way is the goal. I enjoy taking time for cooking instead of rushing. Maybe once a week i make something that makes me taste the time i took.

That’s what my crockpot is for, taste that time, still less effort than it takes to eat :)
And you still have to wash the dishes!
Maybe you could work on savoring each bite a little longer until you find yourself allowing enough time to respect the work you put in. Shut out the shittiness of the world and embrace joy for maybe a half hour.
Obviously you can't eat like that all the time, but on days when you took the time to make something special, savor it.

because cooking in itself is fun and almost meditative, and I am a fast eater. and when presented when food that's done exactly how I like it. then it's even better.
It's one of the reasons I try and both plan meals but also plan one meal that's nice but takes time and freeze it for later. My stupid human brain forgets the pain of making it, and only remembers it took the energy and time in the oven at the end! Stupid brain, love tricking it.
Thankfully one gets used to it after about the thousandth time!
There is nothing worse than making a long meal but getting the timing off. Especially since the longer it takes to make the longer any fixes can take. Yesterday I had something at 7 pm and finished cooking at 6:40. So I had to speed run my dinner that took a hour to make. It was a hour or simmering so nothing that difficult but still
