Wow, Trump really thinks he'll still be capable of running a major event in 2028? He's clearly been dealing with age-related decline for a while now. There is no recovering once dementia sets in (at least, at this point in medical science.) Then with his distain for the scientific community and the diverse people who do the research, that doesn't bode well for finding a "cure" in the US anytime soon.
I have a feeling his participation is wishful thinking. I'll be shocked if he's still capable of running a bath unsupervised three years from now, let alone an entire Olympic event.

Y'know, why can't there be 2 Olympics? One hosted somewhere else at the same time to just ignore and exile the US. I'm sorry the state has become a parasite leeching on the globe
It is time for good old Olympic Games boycot. The last major boycot was 1984 when the games were in ... wait a minute,... in LA. "All of this has happened before, and will happen again".
