Before this update, grubs had a timer after which they would despawn if they hadn't reached the boss yet. If you ended shield phase and drove the boss away from grubs that spawn near the end, the grubs would eventually despawn, and that's especially important because it can be unrealistic to deal with melee grubs that spawn as you phase it. After this update, grubs will no longer despawn and will eventually reach the boss while it's in car mode. Unsure if this is intended or not, but either way be careful if you're used to the old behaviour.
