The Argos lose. A sad for Toronto and, therefore, Canada /s

I'm seriously though: 3 close games so far this week, and the underdog's won each one. Hopefully tonight's game is as good, and will the Bombers keep the trend going?

Whole lotta offence in the second half!

Low-scoring game at half. BC up. 13-7. Go CFL! Strong move from Jevon Cottoy to run the football through 3 or 4 defenders

I caught the very end of this one, which is great because I love CFL overtime. Kind of a tragic way for things to play out, though...

  • Ti-Cats @ Lions: WILL IT BE SEVEN IN A ROW?
  • Als @ Elks: CODY FAJARDO RETURNS TO THE NEST
  • Argos @ RBs: OH MY, DAMONTE COXIE
  • Bombers @ Stamps: THE RETURN OF THE STARTERS

Last week was encouraging, but the skepticism in Winnipeg runs deep, especially in light of the last two outings against the Stamps.

The big "WTF" story here is Dylan Mitchell. They signed him in January with some real fanfare, making an appearance with the media and getting a $63,000 signing bonus.

He played in the preseason, and hasn't been seen since, and is now on the practice roster. Mike O'Shea is adamant that he isn't well-suited to play slot back, even though he did just that a few times with Edmonton. Instead, the Bombers are starting a rookie.

There seems to be a story here, but no one seems quite sure what it is...

I think I get it that, for Bombers' fans, a win against the Argos last week by virtue of two special teams touchdowns is a "trend in the right direction" versus a "our worries are over now" moment. I'm sure they expect the Bombers to measure up better against the Boatteens; ie, beat them handsomely.

That is quite abit of intrigue and mystery about Dylan Mitchell. I didn't think things in the CFL would be so hush-hush.

The nature of last week's win has led to a lot of debate over whether the offense is actually any better, or whether those return TDs saved their asses. Time will tell.

Mike O'Shea is pretty notorious for not giving the media anything in the way of straight answers, so I'm sure that's a contributor. That said, I think I heard that Mitchell was practicing with the main squad, so maybe we'll actually get to see him this week.

Callaros back too this week, right? Big week for Bomber Nation!!!

He is, though the knives are coming out for him, too. Fans are a fickle thing.

The Tiger-Cats game should be fun. Hamilton native and NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be in attendance. Hamilton be flexing!

A couple important games on Saturday. Some pretty evenly matched teams who are fighting for a playoff berth.

Riders get to relax and sit pretty on top of the CFL for a week!

Me, I don't see Edmonton (1-6) beating Montreal (5-3). Hamilton just passed Montreal for first in the East, so I expect Montreal to play well
