That's my favorite thing about axolotls.

They do live in water, but if you neglect them enough (or feed them special [hormone] evolution stones), they will say "fuck this", grow legs, evolve into slamanders and leave.

I like the assume the lady he's talking to is actually just another thing that came out of his fish tank. Or rather if he was, and was asking her how long it's been since they have cleaned the fish tank because of it
