Indie World can be hit or miss. Expecting lots of farming games with some metroidvanias and roguelikes/lites mixed in. I like farming games and metroidvanias so cautiously optimistic for this one.
Hope there are some nice surprises in this one.

Did the general disappointment from the latest Direct trigger a new Indie World Showcase?
These things take far longer to plan than that.
No, since I would expect Indie World would be an even bigger disappointment in that case. If the big third party developers did not present anything that excited you, what are the odds that a game made by a small, underfunded team will?
I am guessing this is the overflow from the third party direct. They sent out word for developers to send them trailers for upcoming games and got more responses than they wanted. The big name studios were put in the main show and this showcase is the trailers that were edited out for time.
No way they would find something that's not even more disappointing within a single week. Except maybe Silksong - but surely that would have been shown last week.
