Welcome to the Fediverse!

In case it helps, you can make these videos play inline directly. The syntax is an exclamation mark, then square brackets with "alternative text" (for screen readers, or shows up when content cannot be loaded), then parentheses - and the link needs to be directly to the actual video not the page it is on (so right click on the image or video and copy link):

Lots of high karma / activity accounts on Reddit got banned. Something really bad is happening over there. Welcome to Lemmy.

Welcome welcome, that's the thing I miss most with Reddit: just how active it is. But the community is better here

Spend more time on other platforms. I like imgur (which is where this clip came from). They're not much better than reddit when it comes to your privacy, but there's lots of heartwarming videos on there, and no Spez.

Just make sure you have a good adblocker and tracking filter, should you decide to go over there. I use a combo of NextDNS and the DuckDuckGo app with App Tracking Protection enabled. Blocks everything outside of Firefox and YouTube (I have Ublock Origin and YT ReVanced for that).

Oh I’m a long time imigurian, I spend my time combing user sub. It’s gotten very political over the years but is still better than most and has an amazing community.

Anyone else imagined a animal human tower thing to get the cat down?! Goat on human, dog on goat, cat on dog.

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, I really thought the goat was going to do more than just sniff the guys butt.

[–] Johandea@feddit.nu 11 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Can't really blame the goat though

[–] hotshotgotrhymes@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

Who wouldn't do the same

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

smart of him to think of that

[–] WhiteOakBayou@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

I'm glad I waited for the end of that. Cute

The family of one of my exes had horses and at their stables lived two cats who loved being on people's shoulders and heads. So whenever we were out doing stuff around the stables they'd jump up onto you, but now and then they'd be up on the woodwork or roofs and just jump from there right onto your head if you stood upright or your back if you were raking or anything else where you're bent over. It scared the shit out of me the first couple of times, you just feel this thing crash into you from above without warning, the cats were pretty big and more muscular than indoor cats so they weighed a lot. Learned to expect it though, always liked having them just hang on your head or around your shoulders while you took care of the horses and everything else.

Those cats had no issue getting down from heights like this, haha, no matter if you were there or not. This is super sweet though!
