Buying a carpet AND saving 10 bucks? In this economy?

[–] bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago

That's not even considering the new phone case!

[–] cron@feddit.org 3 points 2 days ago

Maybe go for a used carpet.

The fact that the paper is partially crumpled adds so much to it.

I don't see anything wrong with that. That rug really ties the room together

I love this! Yes, it’s funny as fuck. But it’s also a wonderful lesson in life.

Everyone sets goals for themselves; some are big and/or expensive, while others are more simple and/or existential. Often times there are things that get in the way of us achieving these goals. I mean, that’s just life, right?

But instead of simply admitting defeat and wallowing in their own self pity, they adjust their goals to fit the situation at hand, and almost like magic those goals are attainable again.

~Full disclosure: I’m so tripping balls right now.~

It’s also really relevant in relationships, as sung by Bo Burnham

Why’d you have to attack me??? 😆

No wonder they’re failing to meet the original goal. A new phone is way too expensive!

Maybe if they hadn't binged on that carpet it would have been more attainable.

Buying a carpet instead of a car seems like a pretty good choice to me, easier on the environment and will probably save you the 10k in the long run.
