Caught this from a shitty hotel after a work trip. Was miserable

The hotel AC was filled with mold and it was blowing into the rooms. I stayed for a week. Half the people in my group got sick as well.

Not op, but I bet that I can guess. Bad water heater. Legionnaire thrives in a very specific band of temperature. If the water heater is faulty it can't keep the temperature high enough to kill it but it does keep it warm enough that the bacteria grows out of control. Open your mouth in the shower and voilà. You get the shits for a week straight. There's a reason that heater's temperature is mandated by construction codes and it should be part of inspections. A badly configured one is a biohazard in waiting.

That and poorly managed buffets are the bane of hotels.

Let me tell you a story about a high frequency induction sealer and a static cooling loop.

Hotel AC condensation

$10k hospital bill? Now I know you can treat Legionnaire’s with an aspirin

Well the FFL is known as a place people run away too and gain a new identity. After that hospital bill you will want to as well; hence where it got its name

I'm 95% sure this is faked

Lung disease in a new drinkable form? Now it's so much easier than huffing hot water!

This shirt doesn't go hard, it's just super specific - change my mind

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago

change my mind

I guess the underlying question is what does it mean for a shirt to "go hard"?

If it's simply about expressing a strong opinion, then this shirt doesn't go hard.

But if it's about having something on a shirt that is surprising content for a shirt, making it a shirt that stands out among shirts, then I would say that this shirt does go hard.

It may also be that there would be several completely independent ways for a shirt to go hard.

It's the picture of an ac that elevates it for me.

The bill amount is likely rounded and, even if it isn't, it doesn't tell you the cost to the cent

It's my air conditioner and I can drink the condensate if I want to

[–] krunklom@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

An excellent choice, sir. Might I be so bold as to reccommend a pairing of some of the crud from under the fridge?

[–] InvalidName2@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago

Must've had some damned good insurance if it only cost him $10,000.
