I'd rather a reality show where we put a dozen billionaires on an island, Hunger Games style maybe, and the last one alive gets to keep their money. The rest have it donated to social programs like housing for the homeless and free medical care for the disabled.

"Well, that all stinks. No wonder you all got canceled"
Counter-pitch: WIDE OPEN, for shows that had a solid ending, good or bad. Still one episode each. Set up an ongoing premise and leaving the audience wanting more. Demonstrate how you can always build on what's been established... so would showrunners please fuck off with unfinished stories? It doesn't work and it wouldn't matter. Netflix is not giving you a third season. They just aren't. Have the self-respect to admit it, and write a damn ending.
Andor only exists because its movie finale came first. Everyone friggin' died, and they still made multiple seasons about it.
isn't that just the youtube series how it should have ended
Yeah but make it actually good.
Start with involving as many original cast members as possible, whenever possible.
I haven't heard a better idea in a long time. Only problem is it might need more than one show to tie up all the endings for a lot of shows.
And they could do the first of those episodes and then cancel it.
This could be done as a fanfic table read podcast.
I also think it would be cool if there was a show, where each time it ended the characters and situation was kind of - back to how things were at the start.... So no more Netflix style season long arcs. You know, just have each episode be sort of, like a self contained adventure.
Episodic. Like everything was before Lost.
