I genuinely have this, they're an absolutely awesome group of friends I would never trade for anything. Whenever I get invited places however, I tend to be the friend who can't go due to random shit happening, such as my dad spontaneously deciding to have the family make sausages on the day I was supposed to head to a friend's house, for example.

I had something close to this. They were hot garbage at invites and really didn't care about each other all that much. Accepting? Sure. Needing care? It was worse than group therapy. Most conversations were a one-way, somewhat transactional affair.
