The tie should not reach the grundle

Nor the fish eye warping tool intended to make breasts look larger extend to the hands.

Social consequences of men being obsessed with women’s weight and us feeling like we need to lose weight but at the same time striving for an impossible idea.

Like my sister in Christ do men not realize breasts and butts have mass and don’t just float up into the air?

tbf there is a small portion of incredibly blessed people for whom gravity does not seem to apply

and ofc tons of people think "yes it is realistic to expect this to be the standard"

They are not blessed; you don’t sell your body unless you need the money and you have no better options.

And fashion magazines have been digitally altering women and men for decades. Only now are fully synthetic models being protested against.

The weights published about celebrities have been fictional as far back as anyone looked.

mate I didn't say shit about selling their bodies, I was just thinking about a couple nice girls I knew a decade ago whose bodies defied gravity

[–] oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Sex work etc is not selling the body as no organs etc are usually collected.

Also sex work has existed before money. It is a legitimate form of work, nurturing, care and a vital function of society, it's only 'bad' because of laws against it and cultural attitudes, people should have the right or not to choose to pursue it if that is what they wish, for whatever reason.

Also also, most people don't make that much money from it, so it's likely not always for that reason alone.

I agree that sex work is real work. I will even further agree that some people do it because they enjoy it but counter that some men shovel coal in mines because they enjoy how it makes their bodies feel (big, strong, etc) and just like sex workers they might not make much money doing so.

My point was more that we should not consider being able (or forced) to make a living a in a particular job a blessing but take a moment to reflect and extend empathy towards others.

How do you know? Did you ask? Or read their life stories at least? It's funny how in three little paragraphs you're angry that men put women down and then you do the same.

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Do I know models, yes.

But let us make the example easier: A man playing in the NBA is not blessed. He is selling his body for the money because he has no better options.

Having the body he needs to keep that income stream requires constant work and investment. The same holds true for women.

It is not about putting them down but acknowledging that they are humans who are suffering too.

I'm not entirely sure I understand the deal, I feel like cocaine from space and interstellar travel are mutually implied things a person would have. Are you just asking for earthling cocaine? Or is this perhaps a sort of Drug Mule operation?

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Spice Melange is the psychoactive substance used by Guild Navigators in Dune. OP probably called it Space Cocaine since it's a powder, but it doesn't act like it aside from its addictive properties.

It prolongs life, gives heightened consciousness, even prescience in large amounts. Withdrawal is deadly, and the more that is consumed, the more is required to sustain.

Ah, is that girl a character from one of the new films?

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 3 points 7 hours ago

No? I don't recognize her at least.

I don't actually get why OP used this alternative template and it's been bothering me

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 18 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

It's also technically worm poop.

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 13 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

It's not worm poop. Worm poop is the substrate that the microbes that produce spice grow in.

When the spice blow happens those microbes get ejected to the surface and the dry air and sunlight kill the microbes, decaying into spice.

I'm convinced those microbes are fungi. Specifically? Mushrooms.

Spice isn't space cocaine, spice is space shrooms

I'm not sure what you said but I liked it!

I think one of the parts is the Spacing guild... But I'm not sure either.
