Screw FIFA. How dare they tell us what events can happen. Dragon boat is for everybody. FIFA is run by the mega rich

Fuck FIFA and those that signes off on those terms. The World Cup is sports. Dragon boats are cultural. The World Cup will never be as important to humanity.

To keep people up to speed: The conditions put by FIFA on Vancouver were revealed a couple weeks ago it included:

No other major sporting events are permitted within a week of the start and end of the World Cup. Other large “cultural events,” like concerts, are also not allowed on the individual days before and after game days.

Not exactly sure what counts as a major sporting event under these terms.
