russia does not seek a positive outcome for anyone but the man atop his throne of skulls in the kremlin. this war has been brutal and has robbed both countries of much of their future. the difference is russian soldiers fight because they are so manipulated as to think there's nothing else for them. Ukrainian soldiers fight in the hopes that someone will have a future. russia has made it abundantly clear that they intend to wipe Ukraine from the map and eliminate any existence of a distinct Ukrainian identity. territorial control is not the aim of the russian army, but instead to exterminate a light from history.

Let’s maybe stop trusting the numbers coming from either side and leave that to independent sources? 50K is just unbelievable no matter how you look at it, even if it was just the number of wounded.
