The military asylum nation
Mildly Interesting
This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.
This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?
Just post some stuff and don't spam.
Before the 2025 cuts....
The federal government had just recovered to the pre-Clinton levels. But trump still isn't going to come close to the reduction in force Clinton got.
And people still act like they don't know why trump was giving neoliberals money for decades
Today I learned that there is an energy grid owned by the government in the Tennessee Valley as a 1950's New Deal utopia project thing.
More of a New Deal "these poor, ignorant hillbillies aren't going to and can't afford to electrify themselves" kind of thing.
It's why utilities are cheap in the area.
Can't wait for these fuckers to see what happens when it gets fully privatized. It was already quasi-privatized but there's tons of price controls Republicans have been itching to strip.
A bit outdated may I say
Looks like there's a lot of overlap....
Okay, that's 2023. How is it right now with the current administration who wants a 'small government'?
