That's what you do when you have no mortal soul.
Of everything, this is low on the list of things to be annoyed about. While there were probably better ways, this is an area used for gatherings and DC being DC, it is pretty marshy and unusable as a lawn. There have been plans for a long time to do something like this.
Honestly it's more symbolic of what this regime has done to America
More importantly, this will be easily undone later, unlike much of the other damage he has done or plans to do. Compared to those things, I can't get too worked up over this.
