Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Trump is why America can't have nice things

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 6 points 19 hours ago

But let's spend HOW MUCH? on AI slop

As a long time Frontline, NOVA and News Hour watcher: Fuck these people. They're literally killing some of the best investigative and science journalism we have. They're clearly just trying to make this country dumber under the guise of cleaning up the budget.

His only policy is to destroy anything that isn't blindly Republican.

[–] AlphaOmega@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

Just as Putin asked...

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago

He doesn't care republican or democrat... if it's not blindly HIM, it's when he has a problem

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 1 day ago

Fuck the GOP and anyone who supports them.

[–] Regna@lemmy.world 30 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The US is speeding full throttle into darkness.

It can and will get much, much worse. We've seen it happen before.

[–] Wazowski@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

Republicans are a cancer.

[–] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Start thinking of ways to build even better versions of things being destroyed that are even more decentralized.

If you won't be building it, spread the idea.

It might be your new job when your current one gets done by AI anyway. Maybe we all have way more time to replace this one with ten more.

The GOP has finally succeeded in murdering I've if the few naritive channels that didn't bend to their control, one that had a moderating voice in their most brainwashed rural voter base. Also they hate children but that's no surprise. RIP Sesame Street.

[–] marietta_man@feddit.nl 4 points 1 day ago

HBO has owned Sesame Street for a few years now.

[–] tylerkdurdan@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

im so fuckin pissed GFY Trump and everyone in his administration

[–] A_norny_mousse@feddit.org 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Trump administration has also filed a lawsuit against three CPB board members who refused to leave their positions despite the president’s attempts to remove them.

As if all this wasn't despicable enough already. They are really set on being Public Enemy #1. I hope justice will catch up with them long before they die of old age. Any kind of justice will do: poetic, divine, mob...

[–] jojo@piefed.social 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

At this point I'm hoping for mob...

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 day ago

Divine mob? Bring back the Greek pantheon!

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 7 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Wonder who’ll buy the IP of Sesame Street when it goes to auction, and how they’ll enshittify it.

[–] marietta_man@feddit.nl 6 points 1 day ago

sesame Street was bought by HBO some time ago. So, AT&T owns big bird.

[–] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Big Bird will become very hardcore Christian.

Snuffleupagus will be used as a scapegoat for wokeness and all on the show will just put him down and say why he’s wrong.

Burt and Ernie will just be killed off because they’re woke or they become Tate bros.

Oscar the Grouch will be the new spokesperson for mega corps and he will advocate for trash everywhere being normal and a sign of great wealth.

Elmo will be turned from red to orange and just spout off talking points for Rs.

Abby will get a Mar A Lago makeover and always be behind some male character and using agreeing phrases like a rap hype man.

The Count will be a villain who is mad because tariffs work on his country so he’s always trying to destroy Sesame Street.

Cookie Monster and Grover will be talking about the greatness of ICE (Imminent Cookie Enforcers) and reporting your neighbors. They will constantly be arresting the brown puppets that are trying to take cookies from the real kids on the show.

All the real kids will be white.

[–] capt_wolf@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They just struck a worldwide streaming deal with Netflix. So my money's on them.

Before their first exclusive season even finishes...

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

GOP: release the list? Nah! GOP: cancel all educational programs!
