Honestly I don't bother my teammates use AI for their job, but sadly most of them aren't really good at the basic of programming in the first place so they just blindly copy-paste the code without checking it first as if it's correct or not since I'm not even sure they are correct at prompting. Vibe coders are real.

Sometimes I struggle with impostor syndrome. Reading this made me feel a lot more confident that I am actually really good at my job and not just fooling everyone into thinking I am.
Wait, so it isn't getting worse, I'm just more aware of how flawed it is through long-term exposure?
Code quality, architecture, consistency, care for detail are qualities that become glaringly visible in the long term. And after a while, they become massively important.
It it is like it is not the same whether you date a stunning pretty girl that likes to socialize and go out, and just can't cook.... versus being married to that girl and discovering that she only eats and cooks junk food because she does not give a shit about her or your's health, that you can't agree about the effect of her smoking in the car on your little toddler girl, that she drinks a lot, and that she always gets argumentative and accusing when you try to sort out a difference of opinion or a real problem.
