Just like that?

I don't really watch this franchise but the early buzz on this show was pretty terrible.

I found it unwatchable. Judging by the AJLT sub reddit, people hate watch it

Wife watches it.

I don't see the appeal of rich elder NYC genx women whining about rich people shit.

Trying to think of what franchises that leaves HBO with post Discovery split:

  • Gilded Age
  • True Detective
  • Euphoria
  • White Lotus
  • House of the Dragon / GOT
  • The Pitt

Anything else? Not a lot there.

I have my doubts that Euphoria will continue past this next season. Will Dune Prophecy ever air again (and will it be another 6 ep season)? Will there be other Dune and GOT spinoffs or will this be it?

I didn’t include Last Week Tonight in the list because as much as I enjoy that program, few people are going to sign up to HBO just for that. Same with Bill Maher (can’t believe he’s still on the air).

I hear there’s a Green Lantern show coming. That might attract some subscribers.

Still missing Raised By Wolves. Bastards.

Raised by wolves had a great start but got so bad.

HBO gets to keep the WB gaming IP, so they could do Mortal Kombat.

They also have Harry Potter coming out soon.

Uh, they also have Peacemaker

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Yeah, and I forgot Last Of Us, though I think they announced it only has one more season?

I just have Max to watch AEW

[–] reddig33@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Possibly not much longer. Discovery and WB are breaking back up. We’ll have to wait and see who gets it in the divorce.

As long as they don't make the suit green. Or animated.

It'll have a vest and a bowl cut.
