Hey maybe it just turned out the solution to climate change wasn't the exact same society without gas powered cars.

Maybe Elon Musk being the most famous imbecile in history helped people realize his vision of futuristic cars is a child's idea of futuristic.

Maybe the majority of people who were fooled into EV hype now believe correctly that actual climate conscious policy going forward is the only solution to the issues.

Also trains exist and are electric now. Tear down the roads, hang the fascists, problem solved.
