How did they manage to draw a face that so intensely shows that feeling of hating yourself while also being brightly pleasant on the surface

Think it’s from this photo?

Interesting how the drawn version conveys the expression more accurately than the real-life one.

You can do a lot more in drawings than with muscles

Maybe I'm trippin' but it feels like the eyes are wider on the real pic and it sort of conveys more of a "Are you seeing this shit?" Or like a "Really?" Expression, but when I look at each, the eyes are actually wider on the drawn one. Which makes me wonder if we (or at least just me) interpret relative eye sizes differently in cartoons.

Interpreting facial emotions is wild. Tiny tiny changes can change the feel so much

That is the face of your self-loathing, pleased to be loathing you.

I have poster syndrome. I constantly think I'm stuck in a work safety poster and I can't get out.

... and thus 'you' now 'are' stuck in it.

Nooooo! Let me out! It smells in here.

Uh here, you're free.

Huh, apparently your uh, "cubicle", was right next to the bathrooms.

sigh

There's a way to fix this, but I really don't want to have to report to my SCP handler again...

Whatever, I'm sure its fine, you're free!

In my experience most people who think they have imposter syndrome don't.

I've seen this before.

It's not ok to remind me like that.

And the corollary statement, “Don’t be humble, you just aren’t that good.”

Thank you for ruining my day. And a Friday no less...
