These all look amazing! What's the Fancy Hanks one like?

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

It's a fast kick not a wait for it. Nice way to get acid in without being vinegary. Great for pizza!

Theyโ€™re not hot but try sweet mustard pickles too

Fantastic on a cheese sandwich

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago

It takes time to build stamina. Go again when you think you're able

Familycalhoon are getting a new microwave for the first time in about 20 years. I think they used to have just the one kind...

Also, first Parkrun in about 5 weeks.. Good to be back at it, but why did I pick one that had a hill on the way out and on the way back....

[โ€“] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My family tried getting a mini grill and bake convection oven, but nothing beats the microwave.

[โ€“] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

My old toaster oven is better than any airfryer I've seen. I still need the microwave though.

Somehow, I completely neglected to put "wallet" on my packing list and had pretty much left the building to get into the uber before I remembered in a panic at the last possible second. Thank fuck, given that I'm renting a car in WA in about a week and would need my physical driver's licence most likely. Although, worst case I could've gotten my friend (who has keys to my place) to express post it over but anyway, crisis averted.

I'm sure I'll remember some other thing I wanted to take over and forgot about, but it's too late now! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I have the most important things and clothes to suit every damn weather condition so I'm set. Off to try and be a human again...

Since I got back from NZ I've been eating meals at my desk . It's not nice, I much prefer a table so table it is.

Played DnD last night for the first time! It was pretty fun despite feeling like the stupidest person in the room. I might see if there's a weekly thing around or try some more one-shots :))

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 4 points 1 day ago

It takes time and practice!! I find the combat fun, but I suck at roleplaying lol! My fav character I made was a Kenku Sorcerer because I could just mimic the other players words ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Keep doing one shots and find a supportive group! A supportive and nice group makes it so much easier to engage! I'm so excited for you!!!

It is weird being awake at 5am though. I used to do this a couple of years before lockdown for gym before uni and work.

Still rather this and get the sleep and be in a good mood than stay in bed longer and feel like shit.

Edit: 9am I donโ€™t know what to do with myself. I have very little motivation. Aaargh.

11:30am hour and a half PT session shortly. I will no doubt be ded

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

PT done, shopping done. Bed awaits.

But there will be a cat upset she hasnโ€™t had her tuna treat yet.

Also the health stuff on the iwatch is actually pretty sweet. Somewhat of a novelty but still cool.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My friend pointed out to me that as gamers, of fucking course we love that kind of data!

I'm more than happy to agree with that!

Do I need an ecg on my watch? No, but the data is awesome haha

Ended up getting a mini blender from Kmart as the standard size were massive. Hope itโ€™s big enough.

I was gifted some salted liquorice so I might have a few pieces now. Edit: ah fuck itโ€™s got fructose syrup in it. Never mind.

The minor figures churro oat milk is really nice. Goes great with some cold brew coffee.

I was thinking, 'why don't they make their own coffee with their milk?' Then I remembered they did, but it was pressurised with nitrogen, a very acquired taste in coffee. I enjoyed it, but I don't see it on the shelves anymore

[โ€“] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Bit of a dreary ole day innit?
