Taken for the London Evening Standard while Miliband was campaigning in the 2014 local elections, the image became well-known following the popular perception of it as making Miliband appear awkward, error-prone, and incapable of performing simple tasks.

I dont think anyone looks particularly flattering while zoomed in and demolishing a sandwhich. Thats an immensely petty thing to judge someone over. Was he supposed to cut it up with a knife and take tiny refined microbites or something?

I think his official response was similar. It was like, look, if I took thousands of photos while you were eating, I'd be able to come up with some unflattering ones guaranteed.
