I don’t even know what we’re doing as a country at this point. My rent has almost tripled in ten years and we’re focused on doing this shit. I’ve been homeless before, I guess I’ll get to try what it’s like to be homeless ✨in a fascist state✨

[–] skuzz@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 21 hours ago

If it makes you feel any better, they don't really have any idea what they are doing, either. Bunch of idiots in control of a giant machine they can't even begin to comprehend. So it is natural for we mere cogs with >3 functioning neurons to be befuddled.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

I would be pissed off if I was a National Guard soldier. Their incomes have dropped considerably for the BS orders to assist the SS/NKVD.

I would get it wrong consistently.

Be slow, make mistakes, ask questions incessantly. You can actually do more damage to an organization by being a bad worker than by quitting and being replaced by someone that's at all competent.

EDIT: https://www.cia.gov/static/5c875f3ec660e092cf893f60b4a288df/SimpleSabotage.pdf

But, you do have to be careful. If completing the paperwork is a morally bad act, it remains so even if it takes you 3 days instead of 30 minutes, and even if no one else ever knows, you will always have to live with yourself. There's a line from Schindler's list about wanting to guarantee that none of the shells the factory would ever fire; he wanted them ALL to be duds.

The Pentagon has continued to insist that it is critical that troops do ICE’s scutwork. “This ongoing support, provided in response to a May 9, 2025 request for assistance from the Department of Homeland Security includes case management, transportation and logistical support, and clerical support for the in- and out-processing of illegal aliens at ICE detention facilities,”

So ICE is going to handle disappearing people, and then the military is going to be in charge of herding them into the concentration camps.

It's a proud day for America, hmm?

[–] teamevil@lemmy.world 43 points 1 day ago (1 children)

200 fucking billion to the SS and the can't even afford to hire paperwork assistance? Fucking illegitimate gross assholes

[–] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 14 points 1 day ago

It’s a benign way to attach them legally to the effort. The next step of the slippery slope is to have them act defensively to protect ice agents, but then go back to their administrative duties.

[–] nickwitha_k@lemmy.sdf.org 40 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Honestly, I didn't expect great reading comprehension or other skills necessary for clerical work from people who knowingly choose to be neo-nazis.

[–] halcyoncmdr@lemmy.world 41 points 1 day ago

I think that's why they're having the National Guard do it. Turns out the ICE employees aren't even as qualified as a fifth grader.

[–] thedruid@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Where that on the oath? Where does it say the military is subordinate to I.C.E? FUCK I.CE

And trump is a main player in the Epstein files

[–] MisterCurtis@lemmy.world 48 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This is where the grit in the gear works comes into play. Oops, filed out the wrong form? Oh no, I misspelled their name. Only Page 2 of 4?

Adhere to every single bureaucratic policy till it hurts. Do it slow. Make small enough mistakes that would mean the work has to be done again.

Do your job, but just poorly enough to slow this shit down. Make fascism inefficient.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

“Their job” is to stop this by force

[–] JusticeForPorygon@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm pretty sure this kind of torture is against the Geneva conventions.

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 55 points 1 day ago (3 children)

National Guard peeps who actually give a shit about your country: fill that peperwork with as many clerical errors as you possibly can. Best case, you give a legal defense team ammo to have a case dismissed. Worst case, you get chewed out. You been chewed out before...

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago

National Guard peeps who ACTUALLY give a shit about your country: you know exactly what to do

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

simpler to just write down the wrong name of the person, or make a name up.

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That’s a great way to make sure nobody can find their family members. They should fuck up everything but the names

[–] bss03 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You could keep hidden accurate records that you share with the revolution once the persons are out of danger.

[–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 2 points 19 hours ago* (last edited 19 hours ago)

This one says "Show to ICE"

And what's the other one say?

"NEVER show to ICE"

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Yeah! Help disappear those folk. The ACLU can rescue them one at a time. Your hands will be clean!

Fuck that shit. This is like saying "hey, make sure you have part of your shirt untucked while you herd people from the train to the concentration camp. That'll show them!"

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Any act of resistance is worth encouraging.

Discreetly fucking up records is a start.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No, it fucking isn't.

"Ha ha ha, they are gonna feel so awkward when they go to check the logs of all the brown people they gassed and think they executed ten people from North Carolina when it was REALLY South Carolina"

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"Ha ha ha"? "awkward"? You're missing the point. Falsifications on documents can have legal utility. That could be the difference between someone getting checked into a fucking concentration camp vs walking free. Even if it's audited and flagged for correction, that's still gumming up the system.

Would larger acts of resistance be better? Fuck yeah. The Oath of Enlistment (and similar oaths like commissioned officer, federal employee, etc) literally compels those who took it to engage Trump the way they do any other enemy of the US / threat to the constitution. But have they? No. They appear to have the same lack of spine as the rest of us, you and I included. But are there smaller steps of resistance that can be taken by that group? Yes. You and I included. Whatever it is you're able to do to hinder the Nazi infestation plaguing our country, fucking do it. If it seems small and insignificant, do it anyway. It's better than nothing, and that shit adds up.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip -1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 23 hours ago) (1 children)

Oh snap! Some of those people getting sent to fucking die in the desert might have a legal claim to getting released?!?!?! you know, assuming the trump admin ever even bothers to look for their body.

That could be the difference between someone getting checked into a fucking concentration camp vs walking free.

Look... I love a "Germans love their paperwork" joke as much as anybody. NOBODY was ever turned away from a concentration camp after they were put on the train because it wasn't clear if their name was Goldstein or Holdstein. Just like the republicans won't care if it is Joe Gonzalez from Hollywood California or Joe Gonzales from Hollywood Florida.

Fuck yeah. The Oath of Enlistment (and similar oaths like commissioned officer, federal employee, etc) literally compels those who took it to engage Trump the way they do any other enemy of the US / threat to the constitution. But have they? No.

Then they are fucking complicit. But hey, at the Seattle Trials I am sure a bunch of them will be glad to say "I was just following orders".

But are there smaller steps of resistance that can be taken by that group?

And "Tee hee hee. mess up the paperwork but not too much" ain't fucking it. And pretending it is is just refusing to acknowledge the reality of what is going on AND giving the "just following orders" jackasses any cover at all.

If it seems small and insignificant, do it anyway. It’s better than nothing, and that shit adds up.

No. Messing up the paperwork of people being sent to an oubliette to die does not "add up". If anything, it contributes to the actual goal.

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world -1 points 22 hours ago

I guess you're right.

Nevermind, National Guard peeps. Just do that paperwork as ordered. We got trains to fill!

[–] bss03 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Oskar Schindler: Stern, if this factory ever produces a shell that can actually be fired, I'll be very unhappy.

It is important that even if you stay on in order to sabotage, that you still do not commit any morally bad acts. NONE of your paperwork should ever pass muster.

[–] NuXCOM_90Percent@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 day ago

There is a BIG difference between dud artillery shells and not crossing your t's on paperwork that the nazis don't even fucking care about because they are imprisoning and killing people.

E4 mafia:

  • didn’t hear them order using any particular font
  • didn’t hear them order to use English on the paperwork
  • didn’t hear them order to complete it accurately
  • didn’t hear them order to complete it correctly
  • didn’t hear them define what “paperwork” means in the context of this order
  • didn't hear them define what “do” means in the context of this order
  • didn’t hear them say we shouldn’t put the ICE in the mess hall walk-in and lock it behind them so it doesn’t thaw out

I know it’s probably over-optimistic, but I do hope there’s a LOT of malicious compliance fucky-fuck games going on to stall the fascists.

[–] HappySkullsplitter@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's gonna be some fucked up paperwork

Remember everyone: You need to Support The Troops (TM) if you want any salmon for dinner.

One of the few things still bringing me joy is that I can laugh at all the dumbasses who thought the military wasn't going to speedrun "We're just following orders"

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

I was wondering how they were going to solve that particular problem.

Because there ain't no lazy like "ICE lazy".

[–] Hobbes_Dent@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

States rights lol
