IMHO, Voyager has a pleasant viewing experience and a plethora of ways to customize your feed (and scrolling). The dev @aeharding@vger.social is quick to assist with questions and bugs.

Artic has more detailed information on the Sidebar and I appreciate that content is embedded (it’s just aesthetically pleasing to me, anyway). Hopefully, it hasn’t been abandoned.

What’s your favorite?

Mlem for me. Nice to see other opinions.

Voyager

But thanks for this list - gives me a few alternatives I can try :-)

Another vote for Voyager.

I’ve tried mlem and memmy but currently using voyager as it’s been less buggy and has a better ui/featureset for my preferences.

Mlem has been quite good for me. A lot of bugs were fixed recently.

Eternity. No, it has not been updated in a year. But it works just splendidly (in my humble opinion).

Edit: Oh, I missed the iOS part. Sorry, I'll get my Plebeian self out of here.

LOL. You never know… someone from the **other ** mobile communities might be reading this so thank you for sharing! 👍

As another pleb I appreciate your comment. I've been looking for something other than Boost which seems to like selling my info quite a lot.

Was using Voyager, but it crashed a lot and didn’t support the iOS native photo features, like pressing on text in an image and being able to translate it.

I switched to Arctic. Crashes way less often than Voyager did, at least for me.

Same here. I cleared the cache on Voyager, deleted, then reinstalled the app and it’s been fine. I still use Artic and like it a lot.

Today I downloaded Mlem and Blorp… So that’s what I’ll be playing with tonight. =]

I’m still using Memmy. I know it’s not developed anymore and basically abandoned but it kind of still works besides a few issues. Tried many other apps basically all of them from the image but they do feel off in terms of performance. Would love Voyager and do use it for some posts when Memmy has issues but the scrolling and navigation is not as smooth. I don’t know how the dev did this but this smoothness is on the level of Apollo back then, hence I’m still sticking to it.

Arctic is primary and Voyager is the backup. Arctic seems to load more remote content when scrolling without having to go into each post to see what’s it’s all about.

Oh wow, it’s the opposite with me. Voyager is my primary and Arctic is my backup. I agree, Arctic loads more content and makes it easier to upload photos (IMO).
