When I found the Simmerstone springs, I chilled there for about 30 mins just for the vibe. Best exploration quest I ever played.
I remember that one! Was that the one that some NPC was looking for and he gives you boiled eggs as a reward?
Exactly. I think the NPC was that nice old grandpa goron, so obviously I had to do the quest haha
Yeah! From what I can remember, hadn't played in a while, it's that the grandpa goron tells you about the hot spring but he's not who starts the quest, he tells you to find the guy looking for the cave that starts the quest. Either way, free eggs!
I love the hot springs in Ghost of Tsushima.
His O sigh when he gets down in the water always cracked us up.
Hollow Knight
Running into people in the hot springs randomly is dope, the lore is strong
Could you link an image if possible? I think this would be a really nice visual thread if theres pics as wel :)
Chillin' with Quirrel in the hot springs
Oh, also: Deep cut
Okami has several, the most iconic being in Sasa Sanctuary
The Witcher 3 has a main quest mission as Ciri where you have to visit a natural spring.
Is that the one in Skellige?
Its been so long I dont remember but it def was in the last half of the game lol
Pic please :)
Na you can Google it lol. I only use mobile app for browsing lemmy. Its a major quest, just Google "ciri quests Witcher 3", find quest name, search quest name and filter by images.
"Sasa Sanctuary is a location in Ōkami. Owned by the Sparrow Clan and led by Jamba, it is an elaborate resort with hot springs meant for those who are pure of heart."
Vintage Story has them.
Dragon's Dogma 2 has a hot spring that your entire party and other misc locals can go into.
And whoever is your highest affinity NPC in the game so far also shows up.
The steam cloud censorship is hilarious
too.
I am on mobile and can't fetch a screenshot here, but Hades 2 has a hot spring you can take npcs to. To romance them I suppose but also just chat and relax!
Edit - Hot Springs?
I need to listen to that soundtrack
Great esoteric question.
Far Cry 5, set in a semi-fictional US state of Montana, has the Mastodon Geothermal Park.
Wanna update with a pic in your top comment here so we can see it? Thanks, ill update post to Request that and posted the images i found
Cotorra Springs in Red Dead Redemption 2:

I remember Harvest Moon 64 had one.
Please update with pic if you can :)
Can't find a great screen grab, but Vidna from Legend of Legaia is one of the first towns you find that is unaffected by the mist and the reason is they use their natural hot springs to power fans to keep the mist from settling. You get to wander through the spa area as well before you break the windmills 💀
Death Stranding 2 has them, I just don't have e a screenshot.
