That said, the estimates from researchers, energy experts and environmental organizations in Canada and beyond are all in the billions — as high as $30 billion and as low as $3 billion, depending on the year.
Fucking hell. All that money could be used to help house and feed people in need in Canada, and then some! But no! We have to keep tossing money to fuel the massive forest fire that's become our country.
People should be revolting over this.
