So, I’ve been a longtime FPS player on PC — mix of mouse+keyboard and sometimes controller. I recently got a Steam Deck (used, but in great condition) mainly for single-player games on the couch, but I started getting the itch to try out some FPS titles on it... and wow. I cannot aim to save my life.

I'm talking about massive over-aiming, whiffing easy shots, and just feeling like my thumbs are drunk. It's honestly made some games almost unplayable for me. I even swapped in some Hall Effect sticks, hoping they’d smooth things out a bit, but I still feel like I’m fighting the controls more than the enemies.

Anyone else in the same boat? Do you just get used to it over time? Are there specific sensitivity settings, stick zones, or Steam Input profiles that helped you transition better? I’d love to be able to chill on the couch and play something like Halo MP without being dead weight to my team.

Thanks in advance for any help!
