Yeah, we had to stop giving my dog balls in the house because he'll roll them under furniture on purpose and then whimper helplessly at the easily reachable ball-under-furniture until you get up and go "help" him get it back.

I have to assume he finds this fucking hilarious and fully appreciates the irony of making his human play fetch, but it's all bulky plushies now, so joke's on him.

My brother’s dog will literally tease you with the ball and I swear the little fucker smiles the whole time too.

“I got the ball. Oh you want to throw it so I can get it again? Nah, come chase me. Come on. Oh, you were so close, try again. Oh, too bad! Try again!” Until I look away and pretend to not be interested and then can snatch the ball away and throw it again.

It’s a fun time. I’m not complaining :) He’s a funny character.

My dog used to do this, except she would intentionally put it somewhere she couldn't get it. We didn't get it for her when we knew she could get it. So, it was shaped to somewhere she couldn't, which worked 100% of the time.

Mine likes to bully me by taking a toy, running under the bed, and fully expecting me to wriggle under there and take it. I give him one of those, and then shut the door on my way back to the living room.

Dogs are so manipulative. I had a pup that would do the whole pretending her back legs don’t work for attention thing to me. I loved that little bitch so much.

I love that his human put a soft blanket or pad or something there so he can comfortably extort playtime from his friends without discomfort to his belly.

And there's a rug there for him.

His water bowl runneth over.

I would definitely get tricked into playing with Riley.

I had a retriever named Riley (until recently 😔). Best dog ever.
