Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

I don't see how posting a bunch of pictures of Obama proves anything

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 5 points 5 days ago

So obama knew Andrew Bourdain, big whoop

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 63 points 5 days ago

That didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad. <--- We are here

And if it was, that's not a big deal.

And if it is, that's not my fault.

And if it was, I didn't mean it.

And if I did, you deserved

Who planted his tiny dick in those children?

[–] Neurotoxin@lemmus.org 2 points 5 days ago

Right? It's not his fault his dick looks almost average next to those children...

Trump was asked in Turnberry, Scotland, "You had said you had not been briefed that your name was in the Epstein files, doesn't the AG have to tell you?"

The president responded, in part, "Well, I haven't been overly interested in it. It's a hoax that's been built up by those, way beyond proportion. Those files were run by the worst scum on earth. They were run by Comey, they were run by Garland, they were run by Biden. Those files were run for four years by those people."

"The whole thing is a hoax. They ran the files. I was running against somebody that ran the files. If they had something they would have released."

trumps main problem with that defense, is the files isn't everything.

Like, they didn't pick up a physical piece of paper, and now it only exists in "the files"...

So why it could be plausible someone put Trump's name in all the places it is in "the files" there's just so much evidence over so long. He can't get rid of it all the source, and no one could have planted it all over.

I mean, obvious main problem with the Epstein list is he spent decades trafficking children so they could be raped...

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

I want someone to ask some follow-up question like "what does 'they ran the files' even mean, and please be as specific as possible."

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 21 points 5 days ago

Weird that his best friend would allow his name to show up on his contact list? That's super weird and suspect for a best friend to do.

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 18 points 5 days ago (2 children)

But somehow they didn't bother to release them to sink Trump before the election, which would have been easily done in response to his constant rambling about releasing them.

Dude is treating us like fucking idiots but unfortunately many of us are that stupid

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

A lot of the documents are still sealed, though. The previous administration had no access to them. Shit, I don't think Trump is supposed to have access to them. They just conveniently forget that he ran on releasing them.

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

In this absurd theoretical scenario Obama and his deep state thugs had access to blatant manipulate and sprinkle names all throughout the documents, so certainly they'd have enough access to leak the documents or do the whole "deep state: engage!" thing where they unilaterally and force the release of documents through a loyalist FBI director and attorney general and court system.

And yet, the "deep state" apparently just sat around fingering its asshole the whole election.

[–] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 1 points 4 days ago

Why wouldn't he tho? Nothing has consequences. He would be braindead if he would release anything.

Yes, planted there, by the victims, during their testimony, just to fuck with the second Trump administration...

[–] CPMSP@midwest.social 9 points 5 days ago

He has to realize this makes him look even worse from a credibility standpoint... Right?

Like someone who starts every other sentence with "Honestly...". It implies the opposite is the standard.

But hey, I guess I'm not the PR rep that has to manage the shitstorm, so what do I care?

[–] pinheadednightmare@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Saw this coming a mile away

[–] ironhydroxide@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Not hard, he's pretty damned fat.

But I call bullshit if you could make out his hands.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 10 points 5 days ago

"I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down," President Trump said. "But a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down. I didn't want to go to his island." Source

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

Was the mushroom and egg team a fiction made up by Obama and his RussiaRussiaRussia hoax along with his accursed time machine?

Thanks, Obama.
