Original Title: TIL the Falkland Islands used to have a native wolf called the warrah that was so friendly and unafraid of humans it would literally swim out to greet boats. Settlers wiped it out in the 1800s because it was too friendly to run away. It was the first canid to go extinct in recorded history.
