Now I just need to teach my brain that it doesn't need to do those things anymore.

For a moment I thought the picture was of a mother locking her daughter out in the rain to finally enjoy some peace and quiet.
It's Sōsuke from Ponyo, arriving at the nursing home, during the storm.
I wish my poor decisions were based on some sort of survival. Unfortunately i am only an idiot—though less so, now.
It’s how you spin it too. That kid walking to school in the rain learned so much independence! Look how some of us who were too sheltered turned out😭 sure we were comfortable, but at what cost? Lol
Being raised fundie really hamstrung my ability to interact with other humans.
This wording bothers me, since it would be much better if I forgave myself during the many prior weeks I've lived, in which case I'd be much healthier now. But I'm in my late fifties so now and this week seems generally a bit late for first times.
An attempted fix: May this be the week you forgive yourself for surviving the only way you knew how.
