<Long Story Short, I’m Living in the Mountains>: Volume 1 - MC's engagement fell through, and now he bought a mountain and starts living as a hermit so he wouldn't have to talk to girls anymore. Yep, that type of MC. But wouldn't you know it, the next mountain over there lives a girl who became a mountain hermit to hide from her abusive ex. Just, you know, normal mountain people. And they even have something in common other than their inherent hermitness. They both bought some pets at a festival stall that turned out to be mythical creatures. And there is even a third mountain hermit with a lamia who is scared of girls because one stalked him. And now we have the greatest thing since lava eruptions. Mountain-hermit love triangles. With mythic creatures. And I use the term "greatest" loosely here. It's actually below average.
Vol. 5 - There are a bunch of anoying chapters from the POV of MC's jealous brothers which boil down to a endless stream of "if only X then I could have done better than mc... whine whine whine". It's annoying to read, doesn't add anything to the story, and there is even an instance of the exact same scene playing out again from a different point of view that wasn't all that different to warrant that repetition. Those scenes feel like padding added to give the LN something new for WN readers. Less would be more here.
