It's a bit of an overused concept now, yeah.
I lost track of the whole thing after the Justin Roiland blow up (Season 6?). Miss anything good?
Every season has a few good episodes, this season has felt a little more fresh than the last few IMO.
I remember being pleasantly surprised with season 7, it felt more in tune with the early series to me. Experimentative, but not overdone like season 5 (?) was. The one with the unicorns, I forgot which one that was. I haven't watched 8 yet
