rewatched it not too long ago. came across as much more ideologically confused than I remember it being. it's definitely an exercise is apologetics, but in a very traditional sense. at the same time, the comedy and acting actually held up decent.

It's probably been twenty years, but I only remember thinking that the movie was ok.
It sucks that the distribution was all whacked, but I'm not sure I'd just buy this without a rewatch.
I think compared to some of his newer movies (sequels esp) it stands out. I wouldn't put it on the same level as Jay and Silent Bob 1 and Clerks 1 though. Honestly, I forget a lot of it myself and haven't been able to re-watch it in years.
