It's fine, they are meant to bounce,
remember the boeing shuttlecraft was haunted by mysterious noises.
I once parked a Cessna in my parents’ cramped driveway and sent them the pic. Felt good.
That's great
Some Indian scammer sent me a picture like this with no context and I was so confused, but I guess now it makes sense. Also it wasn't my house, I don't know where it was, but it was definitely not where I lived so I'm not sure what that was supposed to achieve.
It's the thought that counts.
Now do the needful and delete your most important files from your computer
Probably used IP location info, which tends to be accurate up to the city or district.
Crashing would be more fun in MSFS if it had destructible environments and soft body physics.
Or at the very least comically broke into a million pieces like they used to in the old games. (I think I'm specifically thinking of 2000, but I don't remember for sure. When I try to look up MS Flight Sim 2000 crash, all I get is troubleshooting guides)
MSFM 2000 was the one (and only one) that I've played, and unfortunately no, it just pauses the game right on impact.
Hm, maybe it was 98? I forget which version I had as a kid, but it was one that had a flat image as the cockpit, definitely pre MSFS X.
The only one I ever played with any kind of destruction was Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator.
They should make another one of those
Like Wreckfest, but with wings and maps.
Sounds like a laugh.
Like Wreckfest, but with wings and maps
Sounds like my bachelor party

That game exists, it's called Nuclear Option.
It doesn't use real world maps which is a shame, but I can see why they don't because you can literally nuke cities in it.
I’ve done that to my wife (and really myself).
I just love crashing into real stuff.
I used to crash into the Sears (now Willis) Tower and other tall buildings across the USA in FS99. It became a very not cool thing to do for a few years. No idea why…
I feel bad for laughing at this, but I remember feeling really bad about myself after crashing a plane in that large GTA:San Andreas tower and as a kid, I immediately started thinking the feds are now watching me.
I haven’t played a Microsoft Flight Simulator game in a really long time, so excuse me if this is a dumb question. Does the game use actual map data? Does it have entire countries?! That’s kind of wild and makes me want to check the new one out on GamePass.
I also want to crash into my own house.
FS2020 does. It uses bing maps satellite imagery, interprets the map and procrdurally generates buildings. It's impressive, but up close the buildings look generic and rarely accurate. Google Earth looks better.
However they do have hand made maps of big cities, these are very realistic.
My hometown which is tiny is accurately represented in Microsoft flight simulator, I have no idea who took the effort to do that.
The only reason I can think of is that due to some stupid local political reasons it has a major train station despite being a small town, so perhaps they just modelled everything with extensive public infrastructure.
Amateurs, I doubt there's a place I haven't crashed into yet
It feels like a good amount of effort. I appreciate that.
If a bro cyberbullying you pulls up a picture of your home address in any context, that IS personal.
Just send back a picture of his mum
Worst way to say "I know where you live."
I wonder what's the psychological reason we fly planes into our houses in flight sim.
Same reason homing pigeons fly home
Do that with some specific politicians.
More concerning is that they know my address.
Yeah but you already knew your address so not really that impressive
That's what makes it so brilliant.
The key is to send it too then when they're not at home.
Jokes on you, I moved last year. You just murdered a family of five.
did the pilot eject? not sure how that works in commercial airplanes
You can't eject from commercial jetliners. You can't even jump out of most of them.
There used to be some that had a backwards facing door with stairs you could jump out of. Famously, D. B. Cooper did that. But afterwards, most of these doors were secured so that they could not open during flight to prevent future hijackers from doing what D. B. Cooper did.
My hero.
New? I was doing that in the early 2000s
Sigh.
I thought they nerfed crashes entirely with the new flight sim
