This is the exact reason why I bought a good old home trainer with no internet connectivity. The computer that is on it is one of the old fashioned ones, you can disconnect it and the trainer will still work but you just can't see any readings.

Smart products are scam products. Don't trust any manufacturer to still give support after they feel they got their moneys worth out of a product.

I have this dream to make a living lobotomizing smart stuff. Like removing the "smart" controllers for dumb ones with button inputs and no wireless capability.

Peloton without a subscription requires you to have Ethernet/wifi connected for the timer to work.

Connected, it is constantly being blocked by Pi-hole for trying to reach ad sites.
